Keep the classic triangle. Move off Alibeyköy after Night 1. Treat Day 2 as a focused Sultanahmet day (not a shopping marathon). Skip Galata Tower tickets. Protect the Cappadocia balloon with a buffer morning. Make Land of Legends optional — free evening show is the smart default.

Recommended flow for the group — ambitious where it pays off, calm where it doesn’t.
Day 1
Arrive IST ~8pm → Ramada Alibeyköy → rest. No sightseeing. Alibeyköy is fine for a late airport night.
Day 2
Move to a central hotel if possible. Topkapı → Hagia Sophia → Blue Mosque → Basilica Cistern. Spice Bazaar as a short browse. Evening public Bosphorus ferry + dinner. Pre-book tickets; start early. Grand Bazaar = walk-through, not a shopping mission.
Day 3
Morning ferry to Kadıköy for street food and a seaside walk. Evening: wander Galata + İstiklal / Taksim. Skip Galata Tower tickets (~€30 pp / ~€540 for 18) — rooftops and the neighborhood are enough.
Day 4
Default: Princes’ Islands or a proper Bosphorus day. Bozdağ Film City only if people actually care about Ertuğrul / Kuruluş Osman (~$75–90 pp + full travel day).
Day 5
Morning flight in → cave hotel → Göreme Open Air Museum → sunset at Red / Rose Valley. Pack warm layers for the next dawn.
Day 6
Pre-dawn hot air balloon (book early Göreme flight). Afternoon: 2–3 stops only (Paşabağ / Love Valley / Uçhisar) with a private van — not all four if the group is wiped.
Day 7
Keep morning free to rebook the balloon if wind cancelled Day 6 (~10–15% in October). Afternoon flight to Antalya → Kaleiçi old town evening. This is the #1 fix vs the original plan.
Day 8
Düden Waterfalls + Konyaaltı/Lara beach. Land of Legends: prefer the free Shopping Avenue + night boat parade unless kids want a full park day (confirm Aqua still open late October).
Day 9
Fly out. If you’re in-country on 29 Oct (Republic Day), double-check museum hours beforehand.
